Since the first class in 2010, Melonie's CPR and First Aid Classes have been a leading medical education service offered in the Pacific Northwest. As the founder, I believe that people of all backgrounds should be ready, both physically and mentally, in times of emergency.

 This is why, I’ve dedicated myself to providing mobile CPR and first aid training programs to individuals, health care providers, and businesses in Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington.

Which Class Is Right for You? 

Basic Life Support (Medical Provider)

This course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations, and provide early use of an AED. It includes adult, child, and infant rescue techniques.


BLS for Healthcare Providers teaches skills using the AHA's research-proven Practice-While-Watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the student's acquisition of skills.
This course is designed for health care professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in and out of hospital settings.

Heartsaver First Aid

This video-based, instructor-led classroom course teaches participants critical skills and knowledge needed to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) takes over. Course content includes:

  • First aid basics (i.e. scene safety, finding the problem, calling for help)
  • Medical emergencies (i.e. actions for choking, breathing problems, shock)
  • Injury emergencies
  • Environmental emergencies

Heartsaver CPR AED

This video-based, instructor-led classroom course teaches adult CPR AED and adult choking. Optional modules include child CPR AED and infant CPR, including child and infant choking. Heartsaver CPR AED teaches skills using the AHA's research-proven Practice-While-Watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students' acquisition of skills.

What kind of Certification do I receive after completing the course?

You will receive a certification from the American Heart Association!

How long will that certification last?

Your certification, from the AHA after completing the course, is valid for up to two years from the date of the class

I took your class at my job, but would like my husband and children to learn these skills too....

In fact, most of the cases CPR is needed is in or near the home! I offer this service too and GROUP RATES are available upon request

How long is the class?

Great Question! Class time varies greatly between the type of class and the amount of students! I strive for quality over quantity so I ensure everyone understands the material but the average is 2-5 hours for larger audiences 15+
